Republic of India – Welcoming ZOPO

republic of india - welcoming zopo

India has been one of the fastest growing mobile phone markets in the past decade. From only around 2 million subscribers back in the year 2000, present day estimates indicate that there are currently more than 1 billion subscribers, and over 300 million devices will be shipped during 2015.

These numbers alone are enough to eclipse most other markets and clearly state the potential and appeal of the Indian market – which is bound to cross the 1.3 billion mark in population very soon.

Samsung is still the market share leader in India for smartphones, closely followed (and gradually losing ground to) by a very successful group of local brands – Micromax, Lava, Intex in particular. Besides these, a very large portion of the market for smartphones is being held by mostly foreign brands, some of which are well known Chinese manufacturers. Think the likes of Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei or Gionee, just to name some major players. Other brands are taking the plunge into the highly profitable Indian market as well, and that’s where ZOPO comes in.

August 26th marks the beginning of ZOPO’s adventure in India. ZOPO will be holding a press event with local industry and media entities invited to an exclusive location in Delhi. The first step will be to introduce the brand new ZOPO Speed 7 to India. The device is a strong indication and representative of ZOPO’s spirit of ambition and commitment to India and its people, who expect high quality devices at competitive prices.

2015 sets the stage for the beginning of a new era for ZOPO and the Indian market alike. A new wave of brands is flooding the market with new products, but ZOPO is aiming to clearly stand-out among the crowd, and the Speed series of phones are a clear sign of strong engagement for present and future endeavors in the country.

Look forward to what’s to come. ZOPO is here.
